DEEP PURPLE: Behind-The-Scenes Photos Posted Online
July 14, 2005DEEP PURPLE bassist Roger Glover has uploaded a number of photos taken during the fist six months of 2005 — both on the road and in the studio. Check them out at RogerGlover.com.
As previously reported, DEEP PURPLE recently inked a deal with Edel Records. The deal will reportedly cover the entire world outside the U.S. The group's new album, "Rapture of the Deep", is scheduled for release in October.
DEEP PURPLE recently spent five weeks at a Los Angeles studio recording the new CD with producer Mike Bradford. The album, which will be the group's first release since their split with the EMI label, is described by keyboardist Don Airey as "a lot heavier" than 2003's "Bananas". "We recorded it in the same studio that use to be used by KORN, and it's got a wonderful sound," Airey said. "It's got a real, immediate drum and organ sound. I was really happy working in there."
